Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that fights free radicals and plays an important role in immune function, by helping white blood cells function more effectively. It is essential for the formation of collagen and is involved in protein metabolism. It is a vital component of connective tissue and promotes wound healing. Vitamin C presents anti-oxidative properties and can scavenge free radicals and reduce oxidative stress – this contributes to the prevention of certain cancers and cardiovascular disease as well as helps slow down the aging process.
Some further health conditions that may benefit from vitamin C supplementation are those suffering from high blood pressure, joint pain, and high cholesterol. Vitamin C is also becoming increasingly popular in skin products, to assist with dryness, acne, and ageing.
Composition:
Each 5g (teaspoon) contains:
Vitamin C (sodium ascorbate) 4000mg
Dosage and directions for use:
Adults: Take 1/4 teaspoon in water daily
Suitable for children 9 years and older
Do not exceed the recommended dosage
